Max People On This Boat Trip – 20 people
BIG BOAT
Who would love this tour? People who want to get away from it all and relax with a very small group, lay back and unwind, appreciate the gentler pace in life, want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Phang Nga Bay and people who are not interested in snorkelling, shopping or “tourist hot spots”.

Come aboard with us and see the best scenery in the world. Beautiful limestone formations rising straight up out of the sea… and better still, going ashore to explore the hidden lagoons (hongs) and caves, and to swim and picnic at a picturesque beach.
On our Koh Phanak Sail Cave & Hong Tour, we explore the caves and hongs (hidden lagoons), and find an isolated beach where we swim and have a picnic lunch. This tour is in Phang Nga Bay, home of the beautiful Limestone Karst scenery. The day begins with a pick up from your hotel at around 7.00 am, arriving at the yacht at 8.00 am. We head off to Koh Phanak (Phanak Island), and either sail or motor to get there by 10.30 am.
On the way we discuss where we are going, and eat fruit, fried chicken, and whatever hot or cold drinks people want. Arriving at Koh Phanak, we get into the dinghy, and start exploring the caves and lagoons. We make a great effort to keep away from other tour operators, and visit places that we have to ourselves.
Around mid-day, we will find a quiet beach for our picnic. Here, we eat, swim and snooze. Lunch is cooked entirely aboard and is very fresh. We have Thai soup, usually Tom Yum Gai (chicken soup), a Thai curry (not too hot), stir-fried vegetables, steamed rice, and fresh seafood.
On this tour the water is a pretty milky green from the limestone. As such it is fine for swimming, but visibility is too poor for good snorkelling. On the return, relax with a soft drink or beer, or two. Most days the lovely evening breeze sails us back to port arriving at around 5.00 pm, and have you back at your hotel at around 6.30 pm.
Please note that it is necessary to climb a short ladder to board the sailboat, and in some of the caves very little climbing may be required. If you have difficulty with this perhaps this is not the best tour for you. If you choose this tour we will however be on hand to assist and see that you have the best experience that we can provide. Very few people have problems, and if any of our guests choose to skip an activity it is no problem at all to spend a bit more time relaxing on the boat and enjoying the scenery and refreshments.
Please note: The program on the day of your tour will also depend upon the weather and tide. The description herein is the tour we most often provide our guests, but there may be variations on the day.
