Hi there, I’m Captain Mark Pendelebury! I’m from Western Australia and have been exploring Thailand since 2004. I’ve been running boat tours in Phang Nga Bay and to Phi Phi Island for years and I absolutely love it. Sailing has been a part of my life since I was a young lad in the Koombana Bay, in Bunbury.
I made the move to Thailand looking for a change of pace after working in various industries such as mining, construction, forestry, regional development and community services. But I’ve always had a love for the water, starting as a young sea scout at 6 years old. I initially came to Thailand with my daughter and saw a need for well-run boat tours, so I decided to start my own business, “Phuket Sail Tours“.
The tour that brings me the most joy is the sunset tour in Phang Nga Bay. Exploring James Bond Island, the hidden lagoons and sea caves during this time is truly magical. I also love taking guests on a speedboat for snorkelling around Phi Phi and Maya Bay. Exploring the hidden lagoons and sea caves during this time is truly magical. I also love taking guests on a speedboat for snorkelling in Maya Bay. The variety of tropical fish and corals make for an unforgettable experience in Phuket.
It’s important to note that weather conditions play a big role in determining the best boat trips. During the wet season, it’s better to be on a big boat, while Phi Phi is best experienced in the dry season. However, all trips are amazing all year round. I can’t wait to share my love for the water and Thailand with you!
